Michel Akkermans, Chairman and CEO, Clear2Pay
Since 2001, Michel Akkermans has served as CEO of Clear2Pay, an innovative clearing service that enables financial institutions to add payment certainty to e-commerce transactions and to facilitate netted payment execution on client accounts. A proven pioneer in the world of e-finance, Akkermans founded FICS in 1989, a leading software provider in online banking and regulatory financial reporting. In 1999, the merger of FICS, Edify and Vertical One with Security First Technologies created S1 Corporation, the market leader in Internet banking with Akkerman serving as CEO. Prior to his foundation of FICS, he held management positions with Morgan Guaranty Trust, Continental Bank and international consulting companies. Akkermans holds an MS in electronic engineering and computer sciences and a degree in economics & finance from the University of Leuven in Belgium (1984). He is a frequent keynote speaker at industry events and serves on the boards of e-finance companies in several countries.

John Drew, General Partner, Technology Crossover Ventures
Before joining Technology Crossover Ventures, a leading provider of growth capital to premier technology companies, John Drew served as executive vice president and chief executive officer of Lucent Technologies' NetworkCare Professional Services, a 6000-employee network services organization. Previously, Drew was president and CEO of International Network Services, the largest and fastest growing network consulting company in the world. Earlier in his career, he held various positions with Unisys, including general management, finance, marketing and sales. He began his business career as a sales consultant for CF Software Corporation after serving as a captain in the United States Army. Drew holds a bachelor of science degree in engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point and a master of science degree in business policy from Columbia University. He is a trustee of Norwich University and co-founder of the McDrew Charity Tennis Classic.

Larry J. Peck, VP/Technology Solutions Sector, SAIC
With more than 30 years of experience in the information technology arena, Larry Peck has been with SAIC in Oak Ridge since 1978. As vice president of the technology solutions sector, he is responsible for the performance of 3,000 employees and subcontractors who are engaged in large-scale systems integration and program management, information and computer systems security, software engineering and distributed software development and advanced text search and categorization methodologies. Major customers include the U.S. Departments of Energy, Transportation, and Education; U.S. Customs; Bristol-Myers Squibb; and Covenant Health. He holds an MSA in management science/operations research from George Washington University and a BS in mathematics/physics from Concord College.

Alan Quarterman, Founding Partner, Five Paces Ventures
Alan Quarterman has more than 10 years experience as a principal investor and advisor in private equity opportunities, having served as principal of Inverness Management LLC and managing director of Mistral Management Ltd. His experience includes direct investments, venture capital and leveraged buyouts. Quarterman was responsible for initiating, negotiating and managing a diverse portfolio of companies engaged in manufacturing, technology, oil and gas and consumer products. Previously, he spent eight years in investment banking with Salomon Brothers, New York, and The Robinson-Humphrey Company, Atlanta. Alan completed his undergraduate, J.D. and MBA degrees at the University of Virginia.
